The Golden Hoosier: A Trendy Cocktail Bar Experience in St. Louis

I only had the drinks.So the 3 stars is for the drinks. We had a mocktail, it was just sweet. The winner was 'In a Prickel' it was sweet and easy to drink. There is a neat trivia piece here. I met one of the owners friends. The owner is a professional taxidermist world famous. There is one of every amphibian, fish and fowl in that bar. There are many many taxidermied mounted trophies. This bar is interesting to go to. They have several amaros, and I genuinely want to go back.Have their food and have a couple of different drinks.

WOW I’ve been doing chicken reviews for over a decade and these tandoori wings absolutely blew me away. Out of the hundreds of places I’ve been these rank up there with the very best. These are so unique with a predominantly Indian flavor profile. Absolutely perfectly cooked. You couldn’t possibly prepare them in a better way. Smoked and then flash fried to order. Crispy, succulent, nigh ethereal. 9.6/10 clucks. These are in my top ten wings of all time - and I’ve had A LOT of different wings all over the country. The ranch is also high quality and homemade. It’s so rare to stumble upon such magnificence when it comes to all the different cogs in a perfect wing storm. Phenomenal staff and quick service. This place is a MUST TRY.

Love love love! Park/nature/outdoorsy themed bar with a great inside bar along with dining room and then an awesome outside including a fire pit and s’mores!! Service is excellent as well! The menu has not changed since we began going here years ago. The menu is appetizers. Sandwiches and entrees, sides, and a few deserts. My go to is the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The drink menu is so unique and tasty. In this pic it’s the “I’m tired of this grandpa!” And a cider on draft. You can’t go wrong with any of it.

This was my first time eating at this restaurant. The food was delicious, the Red Hot Riplets with onion dip was fantastic. The chicken sandwich was good, a little messy dipped in buffalo sauce. We will be back to try tje smash burgers.

Great service. Great food. Price total 2 people bout 50 bucks not too bad. Good portion sizes. Get there early evening, they fill up quick.

If you’re in St. Louis i recommend this place! Atmosphere is amazing, food is delicious, service was wonderful, staff was helpful with me and my wife since it was our first time in the area and answered all our questions. Don’t leave here without trying their buffalo wings and chicken sandwich.

I absolutely love, The Golden Hoosier. The cocktails are always masterfully prepared. All their bartenders know their skills well. I really enjoy their Happy Hour, great deals on specialty cocktails and certain food items. The patio is dog friendly, which is a real big plus for me. Many times when I'm in STL with my dog and want to meet up with friends, TGH is where we go. If you don't travel with a doggie water bottle like I do, they'll bring your dog a bowl of water. They don't miss a detail. The Diablo is my favorite Smash Burger. It has my favorite cheese, Pepper Jack and pickled Jalapeños. I love jalapeños and add them to all my burgers and pizzas. Their skinny fries are always super crisp, the way I like'm. Seriously, who wants a limp french fry. I said the bartenders are great and now I'm telling you, the servers are too. The Golden Hoosier is a fun and welcoming upscale bar in South STL. Check it out.

I’m glad I finally tried this restaurant. I ordered the Hoosier Smash Burger and fries. The Hoosier comes with sharp cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato and thousand island dressing. This place executes extremely well. The food came out hot. The bacon was crispy. The lettuce and tomato were fresh. The fries were golden brown and crispy. The service we received was outstanding. The flavor of the burger and fries was delicious. Parking is a little tricky. They have a small lot behind the building and there’s street parking.
